When you throw on an old Rayko/KRB record you might have a lot of things come to mind. None of those things say "Country Rap SuperStar". The previous Rayko releases, "Six"(2006) and "The RockStar Poor LP"(2007), were a blend of live and produced instrumentation smushed together to develop a sound so fresh and innovative that most people were not ready.
Well watch out world - people GET READY!
With his new record "Rhyme Farmer", Rayko is again re-inventing his sound. After moving "from the hood to the woods", the versatile MC switched up his flow, his direction, and his songwriting. His new surroundings brought out the country twang in Rayko and inspired his new unique niche in the hip hop world. A little southern soul, mixed with killer beats, hard hitting guitars, and a whole lotta Rayko makes up the sound Pipes dubs "Country Rap".
This record promises to be stellar with yet even more sides of Rayko that we have never ever seen before. Expect special guests, blazing production, and high energy story-telling as you await the 3rd official release from ASCAP recording artist, Rayko Pipes.
"Rhyme Farmer" is set to hit the dirt roads in June of 2009.
